To enroll in a PADI Open Water Diver course (or Junior Open Water Diver course), you must be 10 years old or older. You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health. No prior experience with scuba diving is required.
To maximize your safety and enjoyment Corn Island Dive Center limits the Open Water Diver course to 4 students per Instructor.
Please note that any student wanting to participate in e-Learning with PADI should check availability with Corn Island Dive Center ahead of time, to ensure your course can be completed during your stay.
The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:

In the PADI Open Water Diver course, you learn to use basic scuba equipment, including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device and a tank.
The PADI Open Water Diver course takes 4 days to complete, unless you choose to do the PADI e-Learning option.
$320 USD including all equipment rental, PADI materials, boat excursions, and certification fees.
